Dons Win Righetti Spring Classic Tournament - Dons 11 Deer Valley 3
The Santa Barbara Dons Baseball team won the Righetti Spring Classic by beating Deer Valley at Elks Field in Santa Maria. This was the Dons first championship in the six-year history of the Classic.
The Dons brought up JV pitcher Lucas Benanati to pitch the championship game. Lucas looked sharp, pitched a complete game and only gave up one earned run.
Every batter in the Dons lineup got a hit. Cameron Gniadek, Jack Crummer, Joey Gonzalez, Trey Barrett, Danny Zandona and Colin Eaton all drove in runs for the Dons. Jack Crummer had a double and a triple. Trey Barrett had a single and a double. Pepe Gil had a single and a double.

The Dons resume league play next week with games against San Marcos on Tuesday and Friday.
