The Dons defeated Chaminade in the 2nd round of the CIF playoffs at Pierce College and advance to the CIF quarterfinals for the first time since 2005.
Kees t'Sas looked sharp and gave up only 5 hits while pitching a complete game shutout.
The Dons spread the hits around to score seven runs:
- Jack Crummer 2 singles and 1 RBI
- Joey Gonzales 1 single and 2 RBIs,
- Pepe Gil 1 double and 1 single and 1 RBI
- Kees t'Sas 1 double and 1 single and 2 RBIs
- Collin Dewell 1 single
- Danny Zandona 1 single
- Alex Spatz 2 singles
The Dons play in the CIF quarterfinals at Yucaipa on Friday, May 28.

On an unusually windy day at Eddie Matthews field, the Santa Barbara Dons baseball team beat Los Osos in the first round of the CIF playoffs.
Danny Zandona looked sharp, mixed up his pitches, struck out four batters and didn't walk anyone. He pitched a complete game and picked up his 9th win of the year.
The Dons never trailed after Trey Barrett hit a 2 run home run in the first inning. Joey Gonzales, Trey Barreett, Pepe, Gil, Robert Crawford and Kees t'Sas all had RBIs. Jack Crummer, Joey Gonzales, Trey Barret, Pepe Gil and Collin Dewell all had multiple hits.

Santa Barbara Dons scored 9 runs in the first inning and swept Buena in the final regular season game of the year.
Kees t'Sas gave up only two hits over five innings and picked up his 4th win of the year. Collin Dewell pitched in the last two innings to close the game.
In the first inning Collin Dewell hit a grand slam and Jack Crummer hit a three-run home run to give the Dons a 9-0 lead after the first inning. Collin Dewell hit another home run in the second inning. Cameron Gniadek and Joey Gonzales both went 3-for-4 and Jack Crummer had two hits.
The Dons finished the regular season with a 20-4-1 record and have their first CIF playoff game sometime next week.

The Dons clinched the Number 1 playoff seed by beating the Bulldogs at Buena.
Danny Zandonna pitched a complete game, gave up only one earned run and picked up his 8th win of the season.
Cameron Gnizdek, Kees t'Sas and Collin Dewell all had multiple hits. Collin Dewell hit a two run home run in the 3rd inning to put the Dons ahead 4-3. Kees t'Sas and Trey Barrett both hit home runs in the 7th.
The Dons wrap up their regular season at Eddie Matthews field against Buena on Th. May 12th at 3:15pm.

The Dons won their 3rd game of the season against Ventura.
Kees t'Sass started and pitched six solid innings and struck out 8 batters. Collin Dewell closed the game by retiring all three batters in a row.
Cameron Gniadeck had two singles. Joey Gonzalez had 3 singles and drove in two runs. Both Collin Dewell and Danny Zandona hit doubles that knocked in runs. Pepe Gil had a single and hit a long home run over the center field fence.
The Dons resume Channel League play on Tuesday May 11at Buena

Danny Zandona looked sharp, pitched a complete game and picked up his 7th win of the year.
Ventura's four pitchers struggled against the patient Don hitters and walked 13 batters.
For the Dons, Joey Gonzales had two doubles, 2 walks and had 3 RBIs. Kees t'Sas went 2-for-3 and had a double.

Trey Barrett hit a home run in the 9th inning to win the game for the Dons.
Alex Spatz started and pitched four innings. Collin Dewell pitched the last five innings and picked up his 4th win of the year.
Cameron Gniadek had three hits, Pepe Gil had two hits, and Trey Barrett had two hits.
The Dons resume Channel League play against Ventura on Tuesday at Eddie Matthews field at SBHS.
